If you prioritize the shipping price from Bali on the speed, or if the volume of the order has a considerable size. The most advisable and profitable way will always be to send the merchandise by sea. In this case it is called LCL (Less container Load) or commonly called "groupage"
This type of shipment of average amount, it is more profitable than the parcel, but obviously it is proportionally more expensive to send a full container.
The amount tends to be more economical when acquiring a greater volume of cubic meters, so that from 15 cubic meters it is usually more profitable to send a container, even if this goes with a large part of the empty space.
For the LCL shipment, we offer several options:
- FOB in origin (Free On Board): Alter Asia delivers the goods "on board the ship" at the designated Indonesian port of embarkation, usually Surabaya, or failing that, Jakarta. To do this, the client must previously hire a transport or logistics company in their country of origin to jointly manage the shipment from this port of Indonesia to the nearest port in their locality and subsequently to their final destination.
- CIF at destination (Cost, Insurance and Freight): This is another commonly used option, in which the merchandise is delivered in the area enabled for the collection of this type of shipments. These areas do not have to be a seaport, being very far from them. The major cities of all countries have these areas. It is also recommended that the client previously contact a logistics company in their country of origin to advise and manage the customs clearance in the destination country, or if necessary, national transport to its final destination.
- Direct Door-To-Door Shipments: As an exceptional case for Spain and nearby countries, Alter Asia offers the option of using our own shared containers between our different customers, with regular departures from the warehouses of Bali to Spain every one or two months. In this way, shipments go much cheaper, at a rate of € 290 per cubic meter with everything included to our distribution warehouses in Spain. Subsequently, it will be necessary to manage the national transport to the final location chosen by the client. Without a doubt it is a very good option for clients who do not want to worry about anything.
